Flexiglass on the move in Queensland

As part of Flexiglass' integration into the Aeroklas Australia group, the Flexiglass facility in Slacks Creek will be permanently closed from the 20th of December, 2019.

Currently situated at 95 Nujooloo Road, Flexiglass’ main Queensland service hub will be relocating in January 2020 to Brendale in Brisbane’s north. This new destination will be serving Flexiglass customers through an all-new Aeroklas showroom – the first of its kind in Australia.

Flexiglass was acquired by Aeroklas Australia – a group that also owns automotive aftermarket brands Bocar and TJM 4x4 Equipped – in 2018, and this relocation is part of a larger plan for Flexiglass and its parent company.

“The Flexiglass brand is one of the oldest in the automotive industry and this transition is the next chapter in a long and storied history,” said Matt Logan, Aeroklas Australia’s head of customer experience. Flexiglass lays claim to designing the first-ever fibreglass vehicle canopy in 1949. The 2020 move to an Aeroklas showroom will see products from Flexiglass, Aeroklas and Bocar come together for viewing, purchase and fitment in one location.

“By combining Flexiglass’ deep product range with Aeroklas Australia’s growing footprint and vision for the future, the Flexiglass brand will be well represented moving forward,” said Logan.

This retail transition from Nujooloo Road to 1 Hinkler Court follows on the heels of Flexiglass head office staff moving to Aeroklas Australia’s new headquarters at 17 Johnstone Road, Brendale. Boasting extensive warehousing, distribution and research and development facilities, this purposebuilt location brings together staff and product knowledge from all four of Aeroklas Australia’s unique sub-brands.

During Flexiglass’ brief retail transition from Slacks Creek to Brendale, Queensland Flexiglass customers can continue to purchase Flexiglass products through multiple distributors within the greater Brisbane region.
